Melbourne, Melbourne - big city of dreams. After I heard from various people that Melbourne is THE Stencil Graffiti Capital my expectations were really high when I came here. And as you probably can already guess - they were fullfilled. It is absolutely amazing how much streetart you can see even in the CBD. There are lots of hidden lanes which are purely trashed with all kinds of stuff. There are frames glued to the wall, plenty of wallpaper, stickers, stencils, graffiti and much much more. It is such a huge impact that you have to go a couple of times to the same lane and you will still find something new which you missed the previous day. If you shouldn't come soon to Melbourne by yourself you might want to have a look at a really cool book called: 'Stencil Graffiti Capital: Melbourne'. Just check there website for further details: http://stencilgraffiticapital.com/. There is also a new publication called something with 'Un-cut' but in my opinion it lacks in a proper design. It looks like someone wanted to jump on the 'hype train' but didn' had the proper connection to the roots and therefore it sucks. Don't get me wrong here but if you compare the books you know exactly want I mean (and in fact even the chapters seemed to be copied!) But now enjoy the flicks I might have to separate them by lanes or so....
We are enetering the city of dreams...
